Please describe the work that you do.
Once I find the correct ecologist for the work to be done, I plan the work date(s) for the ecologists to go out into the field.
What do you most like about your job? Any dislikes?
I enjoy planning and helping the company getting ecologists to the correct place to enable them to carry out their work: saving wildlife, etc.
What inspired you into this career?
The enjoyment of dealing with people to help outdoor life. Mammals can’t help themselves in some occasions.
Have you faced any challenges in progressing your career so far?
It’s been fine. With what I do, there haven’t been any challenges.
What education/training did you have?
This is an admin role, so being proficient in Excel helps. I’ve done some Excel courses over the years.
What advice would you give to someone coming into the profession?
Don’t hold back. People in this line of work want to encourage you to do this; they will help you. You’ll be constantly learning, so if it’s your passion, give it a go!
