Please describe the work that you do.
Engaging with the community through events, communications and press to inspire and encourage them to access nature and care for trees and woods. This includes a wide range of office tasks like administration, planning, project management and risk assessments, alongside creative tasks such as social media, video creation, interpretation, networking and developing partnerships. I also spend lots of time outdoor in spring and summer getting involved in site tasks and delivering sessions.
What do you most like about your job? Any dislikes?
I love the flexibility of my work, it’s never boring!
I like how creative developing events and interpretation can be

I don’t like that it can be stressful/full on at times

What inspired you into this career?
As a kid I thought I wanted to be a “wildlife explorer”. I love nature and wildlife and I’m very creative and social, so this role is perfect for me! Plus, I live locally so I have a personal connection to the area I work on.
Have you faced any challenges in progressing your career so far?
Finding permanent roles can be hard in engagement, as many roles are directly tied to funded projects.
